Concept Books For Bedwetting Children

Sometimes we forget that little people need little words. We are busy, often tired and it’s hard to find the extra energy we need to explain to children the things that will help them. Bed wetting books help.

We may talk about bed wetting and think that children understand, but often they do not. Many children don’t ask us questions so we think that they know but in actual fact, they don’t know. And then because they do know that you are busy or tired or cranky, they do what they normally do and stay quiet and they fail to learn about valuable concepts that could help them.

As parents, we may not be great talkers either. We may have difficulty putting into words what we’d like to say. The greeting card industry was founded on this one fact. Often people want to say something but can’t find the words to say it! This is why bed wetting books can help us.

We are lucky to live in a time when so many writers have lent us their expertise with words and collaborated with some highly talented illustrators to create concept books for children.

There are some great bed wetting books for children available to teach them about some of the things we may be finding it hard to discuss. Reading these books with children is a bit like an ice breaker. It opens the topic of bed wetting up for discussion.

You will know when something is on your child’s mind when they ask for one book or story over and over again. It is their way of learning. They repeat the story and each time learn just a little more. Maybe they’ll talk about bed wetting  with you more or maybe they’ll be content to just absorb the message in the story. Either way, they have information that lets them know that you understand that their wetting the bed is an issue and you are trying to help them with it.

To this end, I took a look around Amazon and picked out a few concept books on bed wetting that can open discussions in your home.

Some are specifically on bed wetting and help a child to start understanding how they feel about it and what they can do about it.

Other books deal with specific issues that may have a bearing on bed wetting, such as teasing, bullying and coping with other kids. Some concept books might help when a child has to cope with something happening between adults that is changing their world. Things like divorce or death, that  are hard to talk about.

Reading a book can be just the thing you need, to discover if your child is silently stressing about something. So settle them into bed with a story and see what happens. Once the topics on the table, you might be surprised by how many questions your child has.

There are also books for adults to help them to be better informed. So perhaps a book on how to stop bed wetting will just answer your questions for you and help you to cope with the frustration that having a bed wetting child causes.
